Dominik is the Artistic Director and founder of Theatre InspiraTO, the producers of the InspiraTO Festival, Canada's largest ten-minute play festival. His first play, the Glory Café was featured on CBC's Metro Morning show. He has written over a dozen ten-minute plays; almost all of them produced. In 2010 his play, The Body Electric and his direction of Angie Farrow's The Tango Partner won the Peoples' Choice Award at the InspiraTO Festival. He has conducted numerous playwriting and creativity workshops and had worked extensively with youth: working with the YMCA of Greater Toronto, George Brown and Georgian College.
Lumir HladikLumir is the Associate Artistic Director of Theatre InspiraTO. He has a long history in fine artist, design and theatre. Lumir was one of the originators of the conceptual art movement in the Czech Republic (with a permanent collection at the National Gallery in Prague). His works have been exhibited in Canada and Europe. In 2009 he joined the InspiraTO Festival as Associate Artistic Director — providing creative leadership in the visual elements of the festival — from stage design, projection and imagery.
Erin O'HanleyErin is the General Manager of Theatre InspiraTO. Erin studied theatre at the Dalhousie University and the University of Guelph. She first participated in Theatre InspiraTO in 2010 and has now directed 6 shows with the festival. Two of these, Twice as Bright (2010) and Slicing the Cherry (2011), won the festival's People's Choice Award. She has also worked at Mirvish Production, the Toronto International Film Festival and WOA Productions.
Andreja Kovac is Head of Theatre InspiraTO's Directors' Academy. She is an award winning director with more than 15 years of professional experience. Her directing credits include large scale productions, contemporary play development, devised work and opera. She is an experienced educator holding workshops in the UK, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Austria and her native Slovenia where she is currently serving as an artistic director of an internationally recognised theatre school. Andreja graduated from the prestigious directing program at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. She frequently travels to international theatre festival and is a great connoisseur of both international and Canadian theatre scene.
Daniel CarterDaniel Carter is the Community Outreach Lead of Theatre InspiraTO. He is a Toronto-based theatre practitioner; and a graduate of McGill University’s English: Drama & Theatre program. Daniel’s written and directing work has been showcased in Toronto’s Gay Play Day Festival, and Theatre Passe Muraille’s Crapshoot; and he is currently a member of Factory Theatre’s The Foundry. Daniel has performed in productions featured in Luminato Festival, SummerWorks, SpringWorks, and Montreal Fringe; and he has worked with theatre companies such as Village Scene Productions, Village Playhouse, DopoLavoro Teatrale, Compass Theatre, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Players’ Theatre, and Tuesday Night Café Theatre where he was featured as the title role in the Quebec English premiere of Michel Tremblay’s Hosanna.
Taryn Parrish is Theatre InspiraTO's Assistant Producer. She is a writer, director, and producer based in Toronto. Her work has appeared on HelloGiggles.com and she is the creator of the award-winning '90s nostalgia comedy play "Hey '90s Kids, You're Old" which has been staged in Toronto, Winnipeg, Chicago, Edmonton, and New York City. Taryn loves short plays and even shorter bios.
